Bonnie C, NC
Sometimes my favorite things have the least dollar value. This is a $10
tree from Walgreen's decorated with mirror balls from Dollar Tree. With a
star topper from WalMart and a few white feather boas, the total cost is
probably less than two Breens! And isn't it lovely?
I love snow bunnies! And these guys and gals are wishing each of you a very wonderful 2004! Photographed against a blue background, the breakfast room centerpiece features a Santa hat by the Sparkle Sisters that can actually be worn! I made the candle rings from a marabou boa and the napkin rings from Old World
cherry ornaments.
Located in my office/study, I had a blast decorating this area! With items that were used by my grandmother and mother, including my first Christmas stocking, my first Night Before Christmas book, and the nativity that was beneath my tree growing up, I also incorporated the photo Christmas cards my parents sent in the 40's and 50's featuring their only daughter - me! The
photos mounted on red construction paper are of our Christmas in the 1950's and the tree beside the cabinet is decorated in reproduction ornaments like those that were on our tree.
Secretary with a touch of whimsey - long silver tinsel garland and a white feather boa with big white feather "snowballs"! Hot spot photo shows a "touch of France" theme on the desktop. In the background is a 6.5' white fiber optic tree with white feather boas as "garland". On the table is a silver glittered twig tree decorated with clear twisted and glittered icicles, a couple of large balls, and a few pearl, silver and gold Breen minis. The hot spot photo has a blue background so you can see it better.

I decorated this tree with all Breen minis last year but wanted to try something different this year. The table is covered in a white fleece cloth (to mimic snow) with a silver tinsel garland border.
On the wall is a silver ball wreath (that I made) with white feathers and silver bead trim.
Funky little tree purchased at Big Lots decorated with red flocked garland, Old World inside art ornaments, tin brilliants, ceramic balls with little scenes inside and other Victorian reproduction ornaments. The framed ornament is authentic Victorian. The books on top of the bookcase are from my extensive collection of Victorian era autograph/friendship books.
Pretty much the same as last year. Silver trees. White feathers with lights underneath.
Breathtaking at night but nearly impossible to capture in a photograph.
